No its not another story of the band, rather a road map of every show they had preformed from start to finish. The date, venue, setlist, and cool little notes about the shows along with reviews in the local papers. If you collect recordings of their shows, this is a must. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Another CD Customer -- An Update to a Classic : The new version expands on everything that made the first edition a must have. The level of detail about the shows, already amazing in the original, has been enhanced so much that the new book is 48 pages longer than the first, bringing it to over 600 pages. There were almost 3000 images in the first version, and there seem to be a couple hundred more in the second. The extra pages mean a lot of the images in the new version are larger than they were in the previous one, and they seem to be sharper too, making it easier to see details in them. The cover has also been updated. The sepia tone of the original was replaced with a black background that makes the wonderful picture of the band stand out. Although there are tons of things to discuss, I think focusing on one show will help illustrate the level of detail in the book and why I believe this new version is a must have, even if you managed to get a copy of the first one. So receiving this revised edition yesterday is something I’ve been waiting years for. Let’s say it was more than worth the wait. The amount of information compiled by the authors, Lewis and Tremaglio, is just insane. It’s really great to have all this information in one place. I also own Lewis’ and Pallett’s The Concert File. While the content is similar this revised edition of Evenings With Led Zeppelin is one step ahead as it contains even more information unearthed during the last 15 years or so, and in a better and bigger format. So if you love seeing stuff like all the known setlists (up until 2021), new photos, ticket stubs, concert posters, concert reviews, a bootleg index and much more then this is the bible of Led Zeppelin books. “This is the Led Zeppelin story told from where their legend was forged – on stage”. Most of these have their merits and rank between very good and excellent.
